Rathe finishes 6th in Germany's Regio-Tour

OBRA's Jacob Rathe (Hammer/CMG Racing) finished sixth and brought home two yellow jerseys from the Rothaus Regio-Tour Internationale stage race Aug. 20-23 in Germany.

The 18-year-old Portland racer, a member of the USA Cycling Junior national Team, won the first stage of the race and held the yellow jersey through the end of stage two. But the American squad, which included Bend's Ian Boswell, ran into some tough luck on stage three and missed the day's winning move. Rathe dropped to fourth at 43 seconds down and slipped two more places on the final stage as teammates continued to abandon the difficult international junior race.
